At Green Bean Endurance we believe that the future of endurance riding is in our youth. A well rounded endurance rider is able to do many things well, including caring for their equine, riding in a balanced position, volunteering at rides, and attending clinics to grow in knowledge of the sport. This year we formed a MASCOT TEAM of five young riders all on different legs of their endurance riding path. We hope that you will follow their progress in the coming year, message them with encouragement, and hand out a big GREEN high five if you find them at a ride near you.
Introducing: THE GREENIE BEANIES
Jasmine will be 13 this year and she rides her mare Ruby. Jasmine’s ride goal this year is to conquer one LD each month starting in the spring, and to reach for her first 50 mile ride. She rides in the NW region.

Next up on our mascot roster is Mikayla from the PS region. She did her first intro ride last season at the Bill Thornburgh ride, and is currently taking lessons to ride her 12 year old POA/ Welsh pony mare Cupcake. She wants to be a better rider . In the future she will be looking for a small (well behaved) arabian to take her on further adventures. Her goals for the season are to gain confidence and learn to ride her pony at all gaits, attend another intro level ride, and volunteer by helping her endurance riding mom at rides!

Next rider up is Leonardo . He completed his first two LD’s last year at Witchdance and Blackwater on his Welsh pony named Rainey. Rainey has since retired, so Leonardo’s family is looking at creative ways to find him a ride for his 2016 endurance riding endeavors. He has a green horse currently in training that he will ride in the future. His goals this year are to complete 3 LD’s and crew for The Blazin Belles (A GREEN BEAN TEAM) . He rides in the CT region.

Dekota is our mascot team rider from the SW region. We will add updates and photos soon. Dekota has already broken the Limited Distance barrier last season, and we expect many fun adventures from this guy in the future.
We have one more bean in the wings…little Kate , from the MW region we will introduce her when they get back from vacation ☺
If the cuteness doesn’t kill us all first ☺
